The AGM is your chance to help set priorities for the year ahead, submit motions, and vote on rule changes. This is a member-led democratic process—your participation matters!

 

Guest Speaker: Ryan Slaughter, Regional Manager at UNISON Southeast, will speak about Local Government reorganisation and its impact on jobs and services.

Almost time to have your say on who leads us next

 The following have been confirmed as candidates in the election to choose a new general secretary for UNISON.

Their names are listed below in the order they will appear on the ballot paper and in the election address booklet.

Paul Holmes

Nominated by one service group executive, two regional councils and 99 branches.

Christina McAnea

Nominated by the national executive council (NEC), five service group executives, nine regional councils and 210 branches.

Roger McKenzie

Nominated by one service group executive, one regional council and 104 branches.

Hugo Pierre

Nominated by 31 branches.

Ballot papers will be sent to members’ home or other notified address in writing. Members will be provided with a pre-paid envelope for the return of the ballot paper to the independent scrutineer. All voting will be by post

EU citizens from the following countries will have to complete a separate form if they wish to vote in European elections being held in the UK on 23^rd May: -

If you are an EU citizen from one of the above countries and want to vote in the UK elections on 23^rd May, you will need to complete the form available from the following link:-

The deadline for receipt of this form by your local council is Tuesday 7^th May.

If you’re not yet registered to vote at all then go to: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote .

It’s quick and simple, taking only five minutes. You’ll need your National Insurance number to hand. The deadline for registering itself is midnight on Tuesday 7^th May.
